I visited the new Friendly Toast location in Salem, NH for the first time today and booked a 12pm reservation. When I arrived, I checked in and was told it would be a few minutes before being seated. The restaurant was busy, and while waiting I noticed the entryway became very crowded as guests stood inside. It might be helpful if benches were added outside--especially on a beautiful day like today--as it would create a better flow of traffic and make it easier for the staff to move around. We had visited the original location in Portsmouth and we're going to be near Salem so we went for a visit to this new location though it lacks the absolute craziness of the original location the staff was incredibly friendly in the food was really delicious we love this as a New Hampshire chain
This location is smaller than other locations but located in the heart of tuscan village. Service and food are just as satisfying but I find the space to be a bit smaller and therefore louder and harder to larger groups to enjoy. We enjoyed a few mimosa flights and a coffee flight - very tasty and creative.
The worst eggs benny I ever had x2. Was going to Maryann's, what a mistake I made, should have waited at Maryann's. Now I know why they didn't have a line at friendly toast . Normally give a restaurant 3 tries Not this one
I was pleasantly surprised by several things … how popular this place is but how easy it was to get a table at 11am. The ingredient appeared to be high quality but tasted good too. Even the coffee tasted great! The sides were mains sized making the main appear to be side sized LOL.
