Classy and Tasty The owner travels around the world to find the finest meats, cheeses, breads and coffees. We absolutely love this restaurant. It has a trendy feel yet very family oriented. All of the employees are friendly. At first glance, the prices may seem high, but for the great food and the size of the meal, it is well worth the price. Also, they have great desserts! I highly recommend the Chief Ruler! The parking is not a good situation so it is best to walk or ride a bike here - there is only parking in the road. Th... read more
Hard crust hard to swallow The crust on my bread was too hard to bite. I was told by the waitress the next time I should take white bread. Someone else told me the next time they could cut the crust off. The manager told me the bread was fresh and made me feel like I was lying. There will be no next time. 9 dollars for a sandwich I could barely eat. What is so great about this place? Decor is not good.
Food: awesome. Selection: huge. One of the largest selections of sandwiches I've seen anywhere, along with salads and deli items, incredible bread, bagels and baked goods and excellent coffees. Recently remodelled, so now there is much more seating than before. It's a bustling place, with take out available. Downside: It's in downtown Fenton and parking is challenging to say the least. At lunchtime you may have to park blocks and blocks away. Also, they are very expensive - this entire region has a dearth of decent restauran... read more
Nice Location Well the French Laundry is centrally located in downtown Fenton and is quite popular among the community I find that it is a good place to stop in for a drink and a chat but there prices are through the roof. A half a sandwhich is around $9 and frankly no better than more reasonable places. You will enjoy yourself but are paying for atmosphere. It is also within walking distance to all of the dowtown shops, resale, museum, etc.
I've eaten at the Laundry for breakfast and lunch. This place is not cheap - but is worth it! The staff is awesome, too. The wait time CAN be a pain, but joining their Supper Club (costs $10, but you get a $10 gift card) allows you to reserve tables ahead of time.
Wonderful experience! We had (4) excellant dinners, great wine and supurb desserts. The young man that waited on us was extremly effecient and knowledgable. Being a resturant owner myself I am very aware of service and attention to detail. I will be back soon!
Worst restaurant in the Fenton area – Do not go to this restaurant unless you enjoy an hour and a half for a table, or maybe go there if you want to FORCE a place to give you a table as we had to, then you have to complain to get any food out of them, which will not all come at the same time, my SALAD finally appeared after the rest of our party was done eating!!! The when we complained about how long it took to get food, they said it had only been 35 minutes since our order but when the manager said this the majority of our... read more
The chicken pot pie reminds you of canned stew with a red base gravy and pressed chicken. The chicken pot pie was not home made. The atmosphere and desserts are good. A tip on top of $14.00 for the chicken pie is over my budget for something that is not good leaves me a no return customer.
Great Food – I love this place try there french onion soup, the subs are huge and the people are friendly. it looks like a hole in the wall joint but is gourmet
