Seems below reviewers have an agenda As a longtime employee of the Freedom Trail Foundation, I have to say I'm confused by the one star reviews here, which seem to have some kind of conspiracy theory agenda going on for them. The Freedom Trail Foundation very clearly states on it's website, under "About the Foundation," who is on the board, who the staff is, what the mission is, and what we do. Highly recommended!!! This is a must stop on your Boston Sightseeing trip. I've toured with a costumed, in character tour guide, and without. I highly recommend going with the guide. We got lost on our own...although you can spend more time at the sites that way. Granary Burying Grounds was a highlight.

Boston's Historic Freedom Trail This is a red brick trail that spans throughout Boston that passes by 16 historic sites significant to the American Revolution. A great teaching tool for kids and a fun way to see and experience history in Boston. You can get maps and walk the trail on your own or, of the Freedom Foundation offer tours in costumed characters and take you along the trail with tales of persons and events of significance.
