My boyfriend and I arrived about 15 minutes early for our scheduled tour of The Foundry on Monday. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a staff member who directed us to the leasing office. I thought paying high rent was worth the price.. how naive I was. I’ve lived at The Foundry for 13 months, and I liked the building itself but I’ve never experienced such a lack of empathy or professionalism from an apartment management team. After a leak (caused by a building issue, not tenant negligence), industrial drying equipment was placed in our unit. I’ve just completed my first lease here at The Foundry and I am absolutely renewing! All the staff within the building are extremely helpful and always super friendly. The property manager, Kayson Does an outstanding job, As well as some of the office attendants Such as Tay!! They have gone above and beyond on several occasions to make my stay here great. I spent quite some time searching this area for the perfect apartment and The Foundry has always met my needs!
We toured The Foundry along with several other properties in the area, including The Blake, Elofts, and Three Collective. The Foundry is a 1970s government building that was converted into apartments beginning in 2020. The amenities are admirable, but the rehab nature of the building is evident in some of the units, where cement beams are placed in odd locations and cramped layouts result in a lack of windows and natural light further back in the units. UPDATE: I am always getting emails for another resident with all their info as well as letters from the leasing office on my door with the same residents' info inside yet it has my Apt # on the envelope. WTH??? ****FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS**** Their rating was getting too low so all of the sudden NUMEROUS false reviews are posted one right after the other???? NOPE! Don't believe it.
