Although unforeseen circumstances meant we couldn’t stay our entire trip here, we wanted to make a point to let everyone know how incredible Dave was to work with. He was very understanding and accommodating. He provided some sweet details upon our arrival that showed what a thoughtful host he is. The views were INCREDIBLE. No photo does it justice. We were sad to leave but happy for the experience!
Dave is an excellent host and The Fortress was amazing. So comfortable. And the views! Far enough off to feel secluded and let you slow down, yet close enough to get out and do things if you wanted as well. We enjoyed relaxing, cooking, and the views while at the house. The hot tub was great. The aspens were just starting to change when we were there (mid-September) and the scenery was gorgeous. I recommend for a couple's getaway, or invite another couple or two as well. Looking forward to booking there again!

We needed a get away from our every day rat race. The fortress was the perfect place. Dave was a fantastic host and the property exceeded our expectations. The house was clean and welcoming. The property is well maintained. The location has amazing views. Its away from town but close to quaint small town shopping, museums, gambling and many other relaxing activities. Did I mention the views? :) We will definitely be going back soon!
We had an incredibly relaxing week at the Fortress. We went sledding in our pajamas and spent most of the time on the front deck taking in the views. Dave made sure we had everything we needed, and was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would love to revisit soon!
We loved our stay at the Fortress! It has amazing views, and everything you need to have a great vacation. We bought groceries and cooked half the time (fully equipped kitchen). Our furgirls were welcomed and enjoyed the trip! Thank you Dave!!! We will be back!
