Based on my personal experience, Hubert Kyle Fletcher provided extremely inadequate representation. As a court-appointed attorney, he appeared disengaged, unresponsive, and failed to demonstrate meaningful advocacy or due diligence on behalf of his client. While the defendant remained incarcerated, there was little to no communication, action, or visible effort to advance the case or protect the client’s rights. This attorney is nothing more than a warm body collecting a paycheck as court-appointed counsel. In my experience, Hubert Kyle Fletcher did absolutely nothing to advocate for his client, allowing them to sit in jail while he pretended to have their best interests in mind. There was a complete lack of urgency, strategy, communication, or due diligence—especially unacceptable in a case carrying life-sentence consequences.
