I booked the Fleece as a surprise for a couple of nights to celebrate my partners 50th birthday. I’m so glad I did! Everything about the Fleece was perfection. The staff were all so friendly and looked after us really well. The hotel itself is beautiful, really well kept and impeccably clean. We booked a dog friendly room (Room 5 - Moors). Still ...Great venue for treat night with top rated food offerings, good local beers, fine wines and excellent service.
Every detail has been thought of and delivered to a very high standard. I also didn't realise we had a parking spot literally by our front door. We had the three-bedroom offering and it felt a great size, and very private. The hotel itself is also a great base if you need a drink or tasty meal. The Sunday lunch looked stunning. Richmond itself is the perfect-sized market town to explore and relax we stayed for four days and didn't feel we saw everything. This won't be our last stay, that's for sure.
Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch at The Fleece in Richmond! We went for the Sunday Roast Sharer Platter and it was superb. Everything was beautifully cooked, generous and full of flavour – exactly what a proper Sunday roast should be. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the incredible service. Fantastic little spot, absolutely spotless inside and the service was so welcoming and friendly! Specifically out waitress Shani(Shany?) she was spectacular a real round of applause for how service should be done. She shared local knowledge with us too if where to go, what to see, other recommendations of where we can eat. The fleece was also very knowledgeable of coeliac disease and catered to my friends allergies with no fuss, nothing was too much! Thank you to the whole team! Rare to find gluten free fish and chips!
