Great gym, good atmosphere, friendly people and great trainers. Highly recommended. I have been training at Fitzroy Gym for many years now and for many more with Personal Trainer Shehan. The gym has plenty of equipment, both plated, free, aerobic and also has the room for floor work and various bags for boxing, mma etc. I have never had a problem with it being too hot or cold and there is plenty of equipment so I dont have to wait to continue training. Update: The owner called and yelled at me on the phone after leaving the review! Which summarises the experience at Fitzroy Gym. Went there during staffed hours noone opened the door. Called the number as instructed left a message. Got the response to stop by anytime before 7. Did so, again noone answered the door. A member let us in and we were confronted with a rather surprised manager. Explained that we were interested in joining the gym. Great gym with a really welcoming atmosphere. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help — big shoutout to Shehan for showing me how to use some of the equipment I hadn’t tried before. He made it easy and way less intimidating. I’m training for HYROX, and this gym has everything I need , plenty of space and well-maintained equipment. It’s clean, doesn't feel too crowded, and just has a great energy overall. a highlight is finishing off with the women’s sauna (which is properly hot!) the best way to end a session. ... read more
