Fun little place. Not a lot of options. The lobster roll is slightly different than you normally get in chicago and that is a plus because it gives you that option if you ever have a hankering for it.
I popped in this shop several weeks ago now looking for lump crab. The gentleman working (assuming the owner? I didn't ask tbh) was very nice and answered a handful of my semi specific questions about said lump crab. I purchased lump and several of their assorted "seafood cakes"; crab, salmon, tuna and maybe another. I used the crab meat the same day and it was delish, sweet and very tender meat. Still traumatized from last christmas. I stopped in for an octopus and a few scallops and left $172 poorer. I paid for a small octopus in a heavy block of ice. I have been making this a regular stop every Christmas for years but last year was rushed into gathering ingredients for our Italian Xmas eve feast. Tried there Lobster Roll, but more of a Lobster Salad Roll, but if you're in a hurry and on a budget, quite a fun lunch option in the neighborhood!!
Great shop. Retail selection really good and love that they’re doing weekend sampler events.
