Great amount of food but it did lack taste. The food was well cooked, nicely presented, the fish chowder was very nice. Fish and chips were bland and the langoustines were plenty but bland.
Arrived in Amble later than planned and had had The Fish Shack recommended for fish and chips! Drove down, parked up, followed the signs around to the entrance 🤣 and then discovered it wasn’t a takeaway but a fish restaurant! Both I and my mum had the small fish & chips which was a good choice as they were a goodly size - and left room for pudding! Views overlooking the harbour and watched the sun set - lovely ending to a long journey
Wonderful lunch. We enjoyed the fantastic sea food platter which was ample food for 4! Superb array of tasty seafood would highly recommended. Kids also enjoyed their food from the child’s menu. We sat at an outside table overlooking the harbour. They also have fun individual ‘sheds’ with a view which looked very fun and cosy if the weather is inclement.
