I had recent quote and incredibly saddened at upcharge in labor and two surcharges. $90/hour for someone to paint plus materials, plus surcharges, ect. While i understand business and markups are necessary, I'd be curious what the painter is actually being paid. As a medical professional with 7 years of formal education behind me and I don't even make $90/hour. Something I'd possibly pay to restore an old beloved piece of furniture, but not to just paint a few kitchen cabinets....over $1700 for 5 cabinet doors and 3 drawers ... read more
