IMO What a waste of time and money they are. They got us into a REIT, without fully explaining the contract with us, which we later found that our investment was an illiquid asset, meaning it was worth basically nothing until they decided to issue disbursements. When commercial real estate was tanking, they advised us to stay in when we wanted out. The REIT shut down for disbursements and we lost $30K. They also don't review your assets regularly - you fit neatly into a file cabinet - out of sight out of mind. Only I... read more
