The fishing is spectacular but it might even be outdone by The Feathered Hook Lodge's incredible setting. It is a time-stands-still kind of place, whether you're down on the river or sitting watching over the mountains from the farmhouse chairs.
I’ve been here twice, and each time it feels like a full reset. * Extremely peaceful * You feel far away from all the city noise * The people treat you like family Feather Hook Farm is one of those rare places where you slow down, breathe, and actually enjoy the moment. Highly recommend if you want quiet, nature, and genuinely great people.
The setting was both beautiful and serene, with a truly remarkable property and an equally stunning farmhouse. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated—the warmth and sincerity of the people, the exceptional quality of the food, and the overall sense of care that defined the experience. Set alongside an outstanding fishery that exceeded expectations, and guides that were top notch. It was a place that left me feeling both renewed and inspired. The only difficult part was leaving, though I have no doubt I will return.
The Feathered Hook is an incredibly special place. I love fishing with Tess who is the best guide I’ve ever had. What also makes the place so special are the caretakers - Angel and Frank. These three are the real reason I visit year over year. Btw, a visit wouldn’t be complete without getting the fried chicken at the local supermarket, Burkholder’s.
One of the best fly fishing trips I’ve taken. Our guide was fantastic — she clearly knows these waters inside and out. The breakfasts were incredible, and the lodge itself is charming, spotless, and super comfortable. Highly recommend.
