I had the chicken adobo and my partner had Filipino style chicken BBQ. Both were so delicious and different!! The place is very no frills but we enjoyed greatly and would definitely go back to try other menu items.
While attending the Brewed Art Fest on Cherokee Street we stopped into the Fattened Caf for some appetizers to hold us over till dinner. The food was so good we came back a couple of hours later for dinner. I ordered the pork steak with Java rice. It was absolutely delicious.
The ube long dog and the ube banana pudding have never disappointed and have quickly become my favorite things here. The food tastes like it was made with care and love, and the flavors of everything I've had so far have been phenomenal. Can't recommend this place enough!
Amazing/delicious food; garlic & spices, not fruit forward, but deeply flavorful, but not especially hot. Chicken, pork, fish, veggies. Not American/Southern long smoke BBQ, but all very tasty! Counter order, self serve water
