Bella’s Farmhouse was the perfect venue for our wedding! It’s in a beautiful location just outside of Des Moines, and for a very reasonable price, you get so much. We highly recommend booking the venue for the full weekend—it made everything so much less stressful. Having two separate spaces was perfect for hosting our rehearsal dinner and wedding festivities. I recently attended a wedding at Bella’s Farmhouse and unfortunately came away disappointed by several aspects of the guest experience. First, the outdoor grounds appeared poorly maintained. The grass was extremely long throughout much of the property, which felt surprising for a venue that markets itself as a premium wedding destination and made navigating the outdoor areas less comfortable for guests. As a guest who visited the venue for a wedding there are a few things I want to provide feedback on for this venue. Overall the location is great and the venue is beautiful…but… During the ceremony the speaker and microphone were not working and the grass was pretty long. There were quite a few complaints that the sign for the venue was so small people kept missing the entrance and then when they pulled in there wasn’t any signage to show them where to park.
