So I had a friend I dropped off that was self pay and we pre paid for 7 days, he left after one day and it’s been 2 weeks I’ve sent emails and left messages for the business manager and billing and haven’t received my refund of a call back.
I am an alumni of 15 years and was appalled at the unsanitary conditions at the facility as well as the understaffing that limited or stopped many activities. As a professional i would say the corporation is charging based on the good name the previous ownership fostered and the only grace for Farley is the staff who have to use personal capital to get things done for residents. I finished my time at The Farley Center one week ago. Since my treatment, my health and life has turned around. In what can be a thankless job, the men and women who work at Farley give 100% to everyone. The nurses, particularly Deanna, are busy every minute of the day and are very kind and caring. FARLEY has excellent counselors, and their support staff are exceptional as well. I was also allowed to have my support dog with me for the whole time I was there. The staff is prejudice against black people. Not all staff, however the Asian Doctor and the short Stouts therapist / social worker are very much prejudice . The social worker lied to make themselves look as if I were insane. Certain individuals get certain treatment and are allowed to break the rules . There's no post traumatic stress syndrome program (PTSD) at this facility. The staff have no compassion for Veterans that suffer with PTSD, which is a diagnosis that is parallel with substance abuse. From the moment I arrived at Farley Center, I felt welcomed and cared for. The staff were friendly and helpful during my entire stay. There was such a healing community presence and left not only with tools needed for recovery but many new friendships.
