We had a Sunday Lunch and it was exquisite. If you're after quantity over quality, this isn't the place for you. The meat was very very good but the star of the show were the Yorkshire puddings. They come stuffed with pulled pork. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and you get a vast array of seasonal offerings. Both our children are autistic and they loved it. Our son had a roast but our daughter had homemade fish bites. The service was brilliant and they made us feel very welcome. We'll definitely be returning!
Lovely staff, beautiful setting and the best food!
Visited while staying locally in a rented holiday cottage. Very handy location, very close to the railway station. Parking appears a little limited but plenty of seating available. Food on offer is better than many 'pub style' establishments. Very 'different' options and superb quality items. We visited twice during our stay as it was easily in walking range. Locals all seemed friendly.
Called in for a drink before catching the train from Castleton Moor Station. Excellent selection of ales.
Ate here twice on a week's holiday, because the food was so delicious!! Comfortable and relaxed environment too. The Blue Light discount was a bonus.
