Pricey but worth it

I went during restaurant week and picked this restaurant solely on what they were offering as French cuisine in the capital region is hard to come by. Quite simply from the hospitality as we were being shown the table until when we left the experience was amazing. I felt slightly under-dressed when I walked in but the host made no notice of it and guided us to a table conveniently located under a personal mini-fireplace. In a 1/4 full restaurant we waited 45 minutes for one slice of thin baguette bread each and 1.5 hrs for appetizers to trickle in. Our visit lasted over three hours. Escargot was just ok and soggily breaded. Frites were oily and rubbery. Mussels were not seasoned properly, almost bland and I had several dirty ones. Steak was cooked long enough but was over blacked via a dirty grill. Desert appeared to be microwaved, except the creme brûlée was ok. Server forgot at least one thing from every one of our guests.
