Beautiful, well-kept inn with stunning Victorian furnishings and a lovely, peaceful environment. There are many comfortable places to sit and relax both indoors and outside. James, the proprietor, was warm, kind, and very helpful. That said, amenities were minimal. Aside from a coffee maker in the room and tea in the hallway, there was no housekeeping during our four-night stay—no trash removal, bed making, refilled water bottles, or towel changes. We stayed in the Ernest Hemingway Room while heading home from Hot Springs, and it was such a wonderful experience The property itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained, peaceful, and full of charm. My husband and I had a lovely stay! The Hornibrook Mansion (The Empress) is amazing!! The home is beautifully furnished and truly takes one back to another time. I loved reading my book in the library and wandering the common rooms downstairs. Our room upstairs also had a great soaking tub that was perfect for a bubble bath! The king size bed felt luxurious, and the gas fireplace was so cozy. Definitely want to return!
