Called today 13 Jan 2026 to book my wife in as she has a tooth hanging out in pain and was told our whole family of five had been deregistered because we haven’t been since we went for our first appointment with them in 2023 when we first joined them. Could have let us know they were going to do that then we would have been able to discuss the situation. Me and my partner both regularly attend our 6 month appointment and pay the appropriate checks. But today the traffic was busy, my appointment was 8.45am and my partner was 8.30am. We were arriving minutes late. The person behind the desk said I will have a word with the dentist but thinks because you are late your first appointment will need to be cancelled which it was, and told the dentist will not see you today as you are late and need to make another appointment. Staff are allways friendly and dentists are great at what they do
I booked an emergency appointment via the portal online because I was in a lot of pain, only to be told this was not operating properly on the day of my appointment to the Elmes dental surgery, my emergency appointment was cancelled. The receptionist didnt seem to care or provide any options to what to do next, only when I advised they have a duty of care and that I was a registered patient with them did the receptionist then start to look at possible emergency slot although advising me it could be a 4 hour wait.
