So the good parts are the maintenance department is quick and efficient and very pleasant to deal with. The people in the office are very pleasant and quick to respond. If you are planning to get your security deposit back, forget it. The security deposit is $500. They subtract from that shampooing your carpet which is 235 to 250 then they take out your ending utility payments. My apartment was spic and span. They told me not to shampoo the carpet cause they were gonna do it anyway and I ended up getting $40 back. So OK they... read more

Being from the DMV, I picked this place for its perfect location—close to work, shopping, the airport, and easy access to DC and Maryland. Overall, I really enjoyed living here. I lived at the Elms for 5+ years. I must admit it is a bit bittersweet moving on as the Elms has certainly become “home” over the years. A few of the pros of the Arcola location include: - The front office staff are very professional and friendly; they take the housing rules seriously which contributed to a sense of safety and community.
