My husband's disability case is doomed as a result of this law firm holding our attorney fee hostage because we terminated their services due to a lack of communication and the total lack of professionalism of the office manager. Now she is absolutely refusing to waive the Attorney fee so that we can continue with our case. Since this is a disability case, no one gets paid now for this disaster. My disability case is just dragging on and on and on. There has been ZERO communication between us and the attorney. The para-legals didn't return my call or help when I called back. After 6 months we are still "in the filing stage"!? I have an attorney but right now I feel like I am in this by myself or until back-pay maxes out at around $7000 as it does here in Texas (meaning there would be no more $ to make from my case).
