After booking a room at a nearby more expensive hotel and being highly disappointed, I came to the front desk requesting to see a room before I committed. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room was pleasant, cheerful, clean quiet and inviting. The hotel has a lively atmosphere with a lounge providing books, games, food and drinks. There's a beautiful scenic rooftop bar. It was perfect for our girls get away. I highly recommend this hotel.
on rooftop they call it the sunday set . with a dj special menu with cocktails deserts. we had smoked fish dip and nachos . lemon drop and a mimosa. cocktails were on point. atmosphere was grown folks good. waitstaff was Brian attentive made good suggestions.
The Durham Hotel has an unbeatable location near great restaurants, nightlife, and parking. Staff across the board (bar, barista, front desk, bellhop) were fantastic and welcoming. The exterior is gorgeous mid-century modern, but the interior hasn’t kept pace — the trendy vision shows, but budget friendly execution and little maintenance leaves more to be desired from what is marketed as a boutiquey hotel. I am shocked this is a 4-star hotel. Every aspect of the building feels dated and run-down. During my stay, the main elevator was broken, so all the guests had to use a service elevator. I did not get a good night of sleep because my room faced an outdoor patio (connected to a bar) that plays loud music until 2am. I had to change rooms in the middle of the night because the noise was so unbearable. Loved my 3 night stay here. Everything was fantastic. The rooms are spotless and comfy, and the food was great. Excellent service all around by the crew here, too. Don't miss the brunch or the daiquiris!
