My dogs love it at the Doggie Spot, and the staff have been nothing but great. I think some of the negative reviews below are a reflections of unrealistic expectation of what a dog daycare is. Firstly, they are DOGS, so yes if they play with each other they get dirty. I also really don't think dogs care if the play room is made of concrete. What my dogs do love is being able to romp around all day and play with staff members who are all clearly dog lovers. They are always excited to arrive at the Doggie Spot.
Really nice and friendly people. Are wiling to work with dogs of different breeds/temperaments unlike chains like Petsmart. Great place.
My dog was exhausted and so happy after her stay at the Doggie Spot! I love that they post photos their Facebook so you can see how much fun your pup is having. The staff is very friendly and the facility seems to be great. The grooming services were great for my pooch! I highly recommend this establishment :)
We have taken our corgi (Gizmo) to the Doggie Spot for a couple of years now and we have no complaints whatsoever. I like that they have enough space both inside and outside to let the dogs interact and run around. They have a great blog where they post pictures of your dogs so you can see what kind of fun they're having. The personnel at the Doggie Spot have always been respectful, polite, and kind to me. My dogs, Lucy and Bear, are different sizes but I have always requested that they be put in the same playroom together and they have always honor my request. Bear feels more at ease when Lucy is around him. They go out of there way to accommodated me in the best possible manner. The price is a little steep but what animal-related service isn't in Gainesville. I usually call hours before leaving town and they haven't turned me down once.
