Great grooming and boarding This boarding and grooming facility is organized well. When I called to set up a boarding appointment, they receptionist asked about the vaccine history of my pet. That made me feel like the health of my pet was safe while she was there. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and seemed really interested in my pet's healthy and happiness. I would return here for my boarding and grooming needs in a heartbeat. PROS: Staff really cares about animals CONS: Located on a strange side street
"All Dogs Welcome" - Sort Of The Dogg House has what at first glance appear to be very reasonable rates. Yay! But then the weary pet owner discovers a number of a la carte services don't figure in - and they're exactly the services a loving dog parent covets. So one is reeled in on the basis of a price that doesn't really include what one would want the animal's experience to be. Moreover, any animal with special needs might find some pushback. My dogs are dear to me but the Dogg House meets all of our needs and wants I have been very please and for the last 8 years, they have board and cut my Cock-er Spaniel and have groomed my Hound dog. I am handicap and many times they have brought the dogs to my car, instead of me going to the office. My dogs have had to have medications administered while we were away and they did as instructed. The Best in Charlottesville I am a careful and conscientious dog owner and have tried several boarding facilities in Charlottesville. I picked the Dogg House based on the recommendations of friends and my own experience.. My dogs have now boarded at The Dogg House for many years. The staff is professional, organized, caring, careful and friendly. My dogs are not reluctant to go there, and always come home healthy and happy. I could not be more pleased with the service.
RecommendedKaylee & everyone else was wonderful with our cat! We had to leave him there for a week. They gave him medicine for several days. They also sent me some pics of him while I was out of town. If you have to leave your animal, this is a great place to do it!
Megan was so patient and reassuring with our nervous puppy Sprout at her very first grooming appointment. I love that she took the time to talk to Sprout and help her feel more comfortable. We will definitely be bringing Sprout back to work with Megan again!
We’re from Louisiana and stayed in this area longer than expected. My Westie missed his grooming back home and was quite shaggy. The Vet we use here recommended Linda @ The Dogg House! She was terrific and my Westie is adorable again! Thank for for wonderful groom and taking great care of my pup!!

The Dogg House is fantastic. We have been taking our Lhasa, Lily, there for 3 years for grooming, day stays, and short term boarding. Lily gets excited as soon as she realizes that is where she is going - it is almost embarrassing how much she loves being there. When we get there she keeps jumping on the glass door trying to get in until I open it. The prices are very reasonable and we feel that all of the Dogg House people genuinely like the dogs.
