After two weeks at the Dog Wizard with Kaylee as his instructor/trainer, Ziggy is so much better behaved, and other than those moments when he is obsessed by puppy brain, he's a joy to be around. Ziggy is looking forward to many more sessions as a graduate student.
We just finished 6 private obedience classes with Mallory. I highly recommend her and the Dog Wizard of Saint Johns!! We have a high energy 5 1/2 month old mini Golden Doodle. The training we did with Mallory helped us help our pup to be more responsive and calm. If you looking for trainers or your on the fence watching YouTube videos thinking you can do it yourself, just call The Dog Wizard of Saint Johns and get excellent training so that your pup is a pleasure to be around.
Our experience with Dog Wizard was exceptional. We came to them needing help with a rescue pup we'd had for six months. Ken was a tough case and even as very experienced dog/rescue parents, we didn't know to help him. We were paired with Mallory who gave Ken amazing training and attention over a three week stay. Here are the things I wish I had known before paying $1,850 for this program. 1. Although the website promises a customized training for your dog, this is not entirely true. Our dog is a sensitive breed and does not do well with aversive training techniques. I made the mistake of calling and speaking with Mike who explained that they use a work for food approach to training. I did not ask enough questions.
