We brought our German shepherd to the dog wizard and did the 14 day board and train with Dave. Our biggest issue was her reactivity to other dogs while on the leash. She was redirecting and biting me. We are halfway thru a 2 week program for our German Shorthair Pointer who was a little chaos demon. David our trainer has been great training my GSP and my husband and me. We have seen a great improvement in her leash walking and control of her impulsive behavior. We enjoy seeing the videos and learning where we were failing our own dog. David even brought her home for a training session to see the areas our GSP can improve on. He also educated us on the tools and commands that he uses in training. I’m not sure why I’m getting emails to rate this company almost a year later. I’ve already expressed my issues with this company and I wouldn’t recommend. My dog came home after a 2 week board and train exactly the same even after following the at home instructions. We had a concern with wounds on his neck which we were told were “an allergic reaction to the e-collar” which ended up being scabs from a prong collar which was never brought up as being a tool you guys used. I am not even sure where to begin. We could not be any happier with our experience with The Dog Wizard! We got a puppy midsummer with hopes of having a companion dog to help keep us company as empty-nesters. What we got was 9 lbs of feral and fury!! Beyond impressed with Toulouse’s 2-week board and train with CJ! After researching dog training companies for weeks, I’m so glad I found The Dog Wizard. I got frequent updates and felt like Toulouse’s training was really personalized. CJ not only trained Toulouse but also taught us how to keep up with everything at home. He’s so much better behaved now and doesn’t pull on walks anymore! Highly recommend!
