The Dog Wizard was a very useful resource for my family when we brought home our first puppy! I highly recommend partnering with them to learn how to train your pet.
This is my attempt to keep my story brief for the sake of highlighting the main pain points we experienced with The Dog Wizard in hopes to save anyone and their dog from going through what we did. TLDR: 3 week board and train was not successful. Our dog came home in distress and with kennel sores and none of the skills that were mentioned in the contract. The Dog Wizard, and our trainer in particular, were both fantastic. Loved the fact that the class was small format; my 9 month old golden retriever and I were one of 3 pairings at the beginning of the program, and eventually it dropped down to just 2 pairings total as one person moved to private lessons. As a new puppy owner, I had no idea what it would take to train my new furry friend. I was overwhelmed until I called Jessie! Our initial phone conversation was reassuring. She was kind and patient as she listened to my concerns in which I learned were very common! Jessie was extremely knowledgeable about puppy training and made me feel confident that we could get through the puppy stage! Thank you so much for all of your help!
