Dr Chung has absolutely no bedside manners. I left her office upset and crying. I felt rushed. She didn't get to know my history. I might be slightly overweight, but she made me feel like I was extremely overweight. I have had poor medical care in the past, and I have been very sick (brain surgery, stroke, etc) and she didn't bother to get to know my medical history, or me. I felt unheard. I wound up in the ER at St. Michael's and Dr. Chung was my surgeon for "incarcerated" hernia. I had been waiting for help with my two sons with disabilities so that I could have surgery with a competent surgeon in Seattle at KP I already knew who was lined up to do my surgery with a specialist. Dr. Chung has no bedside manner what so ever. She yells at you like you are deaf. My f/u visit she talked down to me and yelled. I was instructed not to shower but sponge bathe, which I did. After having many episodes of mastitis I was referred to see Chung. Not only did she have very poor bedside manner, she told me I’d be getting mastitis chronically and essential oils would be my cure all pill. I find out a couple weeks later I’m close to dying because of a nasty infection causing my mastitis that she didn’t catch somehow. When I asked reception for patient advocate card she confronted me about “ratting her out” and then proceeded to talk poorly about me to reception.
