The room was squeaky clean and the hotel is in a great location. There is a free breakfast of oatmeal, muffins, etc. and hot coffee & tea available all the time. The staff we encountered were very nice. The only thing is, the mattresses were really awful. Very saggy and in need of replacement. If you're "of a certain age" you will awake sore in the morning.

Art Devlin was a speaker at Paul Smith College when I graduated in the 70s got to know him personally. This year‘s winter carnival was unexpected visit was able to acquire a hotel room on Friday night of Winter Carnival. The accommodations were beautiful so friendly the views spectacular. Thanks for a great stay.

I’m honestly not sure what to say—this place is a solid 1.5 to 2 stars at best. The room is in serious need of renovation, especially the carpet, which looks dirty and unpleasant enough to make me uncomfortable just walking on it. Ironically, the wood ceiling was one of the nicer features of the room, second only to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was clean and felt like the most comfortable space to be in. We’ve been coming here for over 20 years and our stay keeps getting better. We always get the Mountain View suite that offers a beautiful view of the 7 peaks from an enormous 2 queen bed room with balcony, microwave, refrigerator and plenty of seating with table and chairs. In the morning they serve hot coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate and several breakfast snacks. The lobby has comfortable seating with a fireplace.
