The only thing local about my local paper is the excellent journalism that is being disemboweled by: Alden group (the owner) : New Yorkers Customer service: Phillipines Billing: Ohio It appears that Alden is deliberately trying to kill this newspaper with unethical billing practices and non-existent delivery. I wish I could give 0 stars. They called me to ask if I wanted to renew and he kept talking over me. I said I did not finally and they he just hung up in my face! What a joke of an institution.
How sad to see a once trusted company turn into such a money grabbing, dishonest, disgusting corporation. Watch signing up for a subscription, suddenly it doubles for 'special editions'. They send a letter that the next billing cycle will be raised, but they've already charged you. Devious behavior.
Just read the crappy article about McGregor Square and the World Cup. Man, have journalistic integrity standards taken a dive. Not only was some of the information incorrect, but you can tell they didn’t even do basic research. Clearly the only goal was clickbate. Look elsewhere for local news.
