Vivan Chin is a Wellingtonian who started his career in 1984 after training at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Hairdressing Academy in London. Over the subsequent 30 odd years he has owned and managed a handful of successful salons. Vivan moved to Otaki at the end of 2016 and he has transformed a boutique studio salon in the heart of Otaki on the Kapiti Coast. Vivan is a real Otaki treasure! He came highly recommended, and deservedly so as he's an incredibly talented, knowledgeable stylist ... and a really nice guy too. I felt listened to and knew my difficult hair was in the best possible hands. Delighted with the results thanks Vivan and will most definitely be back.

I dont often write reviews but Vivan is probably the best hairdresser I've been to. Thorough and takes the time to get a good idea of what you're after. His studio is comfy as and the atmosphere relaxed and open. Cheers man, till next time the mop beckons! Haha
I carried Vivan's number in my wallet for over 1year before plucking up the courage to phone. I am so very pleased with my hair cut and wish I hadn't waited so long. Vivan was so very welcoming upon meeting him and listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. I'm looking forward to my next visit. I would recommend Vivan to anyone young and old.
