Food is good except the Caesar salad had too much Parmesan cheese it was all you could taste. Also diners should be very aware that Cuckoo’s Nest automatically adds 20% gratuity to the bill. That alone will lose my future business. 20% for mediocrity is a joke. Don’t get me wrong the food and service isn’t bad but it’s nothing special. Maybe good for Smallbany but cmon. Just looking for something different. Chicken & Waffles were awesome the first time I tried them in California. So my wife decides weee going to The Cuckoo’s Nest. She had the C&W and I ordered the braised rib. Both were awesome. I gave to say that I wanted mire of my wife’s chicken that. She was willing to share. Visited on a Saturday for brunch. The food was excellent and the portions were generous.
The food was exactly as promised and the perfect blend of southern cooking with a fusion twist. Worth the trek.
