Went the first time with a friend. Classes are so fun and instructions very clear. Mikayla (sp?) makes everyone feel very welcome.
I have wanted to learn how to sew for years but was always to intimidated by the thought of learning. I saw the Creative Sewing Studio's sign on the side of the street and finally pulled the trigger and signed up. I am so happy did! Makayla has been a joy to have as a teacher. She is patient, kind, funny and makes learning this craft fun! She makes sure you understand the in's and out's of what you're leaning as well as refreshing your memory from the past class/course. An amazing introduction to sewing! I’ve always wanted to learn to sew, but I felt intimidated about starting something new. I’m so glad I took that next step and signed up. So far, I’ve taken Sewing 100, Sewing 101, and Sewing 102, and each class has been a great experience. Mikala is a patient, informative, and personable teacher who takes the time to connect with each student individually. I look forward to taking more classes in the new year!
Mikala is awesome. She is really good at teaching and explaining, and the studio itself is very cozy and welcoming. I took the Sewing 100 and Sewing 101 courses. In Sewing 100, I made a pocket tissue holder and a throw pillow. In Sewing 101, I made a teddy bear. I learned how to thread and use a sewing machine, how to cut, measure, and mark fabric, and how to follow sewing patterns—which are not as intuitive as you might expect. Overall, the classes were practical, well taught, and confidence-building.
I found this studio couple of years ago, they are amazing , I have learned so much. From basic to making clothing, hand bag,quilting Christmas skirt . Many other classes I loved glass etching, soap and lip balm making. I travel all way from Boston and worth trip all instructors are amazing !
