Inhospitable hospitality. I was entertaining a client from out of town and had a reservation. I told the host that we would be ordering drinks and small plates. He told us - rudely - that the table I had reserved was not for ordering small plates but instead only entrees (huh?). We asked to sit at a high top in the bar area instead, but he said we had to be finished and out in an hour (?). Food was very mediocre in my opinion, osso bucco is basically just a fried turkey leg from a carnival...(never have had it prepared this way)
Great food and atmosphere. Service is a bit slow but also it was Valentines. I want to go again on a less hectic day just to be certain. I love the creativity used for the dishes.
Best meal I’ve had in decades. I enjoyed the pork shank while others in our party had meatballs, goose liver “ cannolis” , veal cheeks and bone marrow with pasta. Everything prepared to perfection with nothing over spiced. Ample servings. Desserts were terrific. Our party ordered 2 extra to bring home.
