not good for a romantic weekend, may be good for partying in the summer – If you want a place to party and really don?t care about your room then go ahead and stay here. If however you wanted a romantic weekend in st. Augustine STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Pros: the location is okay, not in the historic district but right over the bridge. The price was average. The staff was friendly. It seemed pretty clean, the carpet didn?t stain my feet and their were no stains on the linens or mattress. A bar on the premises CONS: old, old, old, no... read more
The very worst restaurant experience – The restaurant itself is beautiful, so the 45 minute wait for the table was no problem. The real problem starts here. It took 20 minutes to get the wrong drinks. Then after 1 1/2 hours our food came, or I should say half our food came. Some wrong orders and 1 person in our party never received her dinner at all. The real kicker. At the end of the meal we asked to see the manager so that he wouldnt charge us for the food we never received, or the food that came out wrong that we sent bac... read more
Great View – My family was in from out of town and I thought Conch house would be a great choice because of the view. For the prices, I think the food is mediocre. It's ashame the food is not better, the location cant be beat.
Conch House Is Wonderful! – This is a wonderful restaurant with a friendly environment. You can dine inside, on the porch, or in the tiki huts that lay over the water. The tables are huge so even if you have a party of 8-10 you can still dine on the water comfortably. A little pricey, but highly worth it. They even have a gift shop and mini motel if you are interested! What more could you ask for?
A little over rated... – A good place to go if you are into casual dining. Service could be improved, including their menu. Casual jeans type atmosphere. Overall a nice place to go for a lazy Saturday.
ReggaeSunday – Besides the best conch fritters in this area. Reggae Sundays are the best. Don't forget the Annual Chowder Debate in November either.
Tiki Huts and Water Views – Food is good, not great. Tiki huts overlooking the water and boats make for a unique dining experience.
WAY Over-rated – This was the biggest let down I have had in a dining experience. Don't believe the hype. Food was not well cooked, very pricy, and poor service.
The Conch House has a 4.3 star rating with 5,728 reviews.
The Conch House is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
