My daughter hired The Coda Collective for wedding planning services, and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our (and anyone’s) expectations. My friend’s wedding was recently planned by this company, and the amount of stress, confusion, and disappointment she experienced was unacceptable. The trail of mishaps leading up to and surrounding her wedding is something no bride should have to endure. Respect, accountability, organization, transparency, and clear communication should be standard—not exceptions. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I sincerely hope meaningful improvements are made so future clients don’t face the same issues.
There was a lack of communication and planning by Charley and her team throughout the wedding day. An example was the transportation logistics. One of the shuttles that was responsible for guest pickups at the 21c Museum Hotel was given incorrect directions, and went to the reception venue first instead of the ceremony location at The Contemporary Art Museum where guests were supposed to be dropped off.
