I broke a pair of knitting needles recently and was excited about it because it meant that I had a good reason to go check out the Clinch River Yarn Company. Such a charming little place. You gotta have good knees to get up in the place...steep steps, but once you get in there it is lovely!
This shop is a hidden gem! There's a wonderful selection of yarns, an inviting front porch, and the owner is the sweetest person I've ever encountered. I can't wait to start classes.
I've never had a bad experience with CRYC. Everyone is very helpful. I went there several months ago with my birthday gift card and everyone in the shop (including a designer customer) helped me decide my purchase! Sandy, Robin, and Marie are awesome. They're always willing to pitch in and help. Sandy helped me about 6 weeks ago with a mysterious yarn break I discovered in a lace weight shawl project I spread out to block.

I agree that Sandy & Robin have our backs. It is always plesant to shop with them and they are there to help you if you run in to a glitch with your projects. This week has been excellent knitting weather.
Sandy and Robin Adams, owners of the CRYC, are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They have a tremendous desire to make everyone who enters the door of this wonderful quant yarn shop feel welcome. Everyone is welcome to sit and knit, crochet, weave or work on whatever fiber project they have at anytime, no special group time required.
