Update from my review 2 years ago from below!! I will definitely say it took a couple people in charge to get the right person trying to change and better our community. The new property manager is friendly and always happy to listen to how things can improve and has made many improvements since previous owners. The property itself has been cleaner, in a way more safe & organized. The maintenance staff is amazing. lived here for 3 years (through 3 different managements that all sucked) and was so grateful to finally be able to get out and move elsewhere. they do not care about their residents or improving the place at all. they will raise your rent hundreds when you renew. save yourself the trouble
I’m only checking 1 star because I have to if I want to leave a review. The lease that I signed clearly states that “The Clayson” is a non-smoking community meaning there is to be no smoking in the apartment nor the buildings. However, people are definitely not only smoking cigarettes in the buildings, but they are smoking cannabis that smells like skunk. There is so much smoking that the smell travels inside my apartment. Don't move here. You can never get a response from the office no matter how often you call or email, all you get is an AI that says they'll have someone reach out but they never do. Going to the office to actually speak to someone in person results in condescension and zero help or follow up if anyone is even there to speak with you. Management has cancelled almost all of our maintenance requests since the new management took over and never explain why, maintenance team themselves are good and hardworking however.
