We signed a fully ratified contract with Christopher Companies at The Preserve in Lorton Valley on 11/12/24 and were given an estimated move in window of mid-June. Since then, our settlement has been delayed three different times, all at the last minute, even after being given confirmed dates. Our inspectors showed up for multiple scheduled appointments, including pre-drywall and final inspection, only to find the home not ready. As a owner of a brand new Christopher Company condo I am highly disappointed in the quality and foresight of the plan. They installed the only towel bar 12" above the toilet! How can you hang a towel? Doors that cannot be opened due to other doors, a water main that cannot be reached, etc. etc. They allowed owners to opt for hardwood and/or LVL throughout the unit, used wood trusses and wood underlayment instead of concrete and now we receive nasty notices from the management company about noise complaints. I bought a condo built by this company. It is cheap. Everything seems cheap. The floor tiles will indent from the furniture. The appliances are cheap. The fixtures are cheap. The cabinets are cheap. The construction between floors is cheap. They do not put enough concrete between floors, so you hear every step the neighbor above you takes!!! You can also hear other things!!!
