Dr. Fred Gonzalez is the best, nicest, sweetest, least judgmental, and most supportive Ob/gyn I’ve ever encountered in my whole life. I was so nervous to know that I’d be working with a “male provider” until the second he shook my hand and said hello. He is a “golden retriever” type of human. 10/10 recommend and so excited to have found the provider I’ll use for myself and my future babies. Wherever he goes, I will follow. The hospital staff really goes above and beyond for their patients even outside of their own department! I had the pleasure of crossing paths with Ms. Carol Matson who was getting off work almost out the door when she saw me struggling with my wheelchair. She went out of her way to take me all the way back upstairs to help me check into the emergency room and was so friendly on the way. The registered nurse here had a sarcastic remark about me having preeclampsia and high blood pressure with my first two pregnancies, her response was "good for you" As a black women I didn't take the sarcasm lightly because my life was on the line. I rate my overall first experience a 0/10 I will not be back and I do not recommend especially to other black women our life is already unappreciated by others we don't need our babies to experience their racism either.
