Nightmarish experience. A mean 20-something receptionist told me that being a hospital guest 'is a privilege and not a right' as I asked to be with my deaf, 98 year old mom who'd been brought in by ambulance. The security guard was a jerk too. The lobby was cramped and dismal but it was 10 times worse once I got back to the ER with patients waiting in the hallway and a cold and unfriendly female ER doc who was the worst I've ever dealt with. I dont like being told im fine only to be sent home in the exact same pain i came in with i dont feel i was taken seriously it felt more like a get you in get out type of situation definitely will never go again
Upon reaching the Emergency at Christ Hospital. I was immediately signed into a intake roll. I didn't wait, any more than ten minutes to be called. And the waiting area was very busy. My situation was addressed the minute I walked in & I was given a small private room with TV & phone. When I spoke to a nurse about if I could get something to eat. I love the emergency room. I’m always in and out. Not to fond of the labor and delivery though, it’s HORRIBLE there.
Tammy and Grace, nurses working in the emergency department lab, treated me in a discriminatory, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner without any legitimate reason. Their tone and behavior made me feel targeted and subjected to racial bias. This incident occurred today between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM, and reflects conduct that falls below acceptable healthcare standards and violates the fundamental principle that all patients deserve equal, fair, and respectful treatment.
