Great candy selection too!
Each time we stay in the Nisswa area, we make a point of going in to town EVERY day because we need our Chocolate Ox ice cream fix! The ice cream is soooo good... especially like the blueberry flavor - sooo refreshing on a hot, summer day. Our whole family plans our day around our Chocolate Ox trips! Just a few more days... and we will be snacking on a Chocolate Ox ice cream cone. And of course, they have a fantastic selection of candy!!!
Every trip north for the family includes a stop in the town of Nisswa to the Chocolate Ox. This candy store has the old fashioned feel and appeal like that seen in Willy Wonka. Shelves of candy bins that contain licorice pastels to all your favorite hard candies. A fugde showcase and tons of Jelly Belly beans complete the front area while the back contains the ice cream area where one can get single and multi-scoop cones to enjoy while visiting other shops or preparing for the town 's weekly turtle races. My kids will take going to the Chocolate Ox over DQ any day of the week. It's fun and has a ton to choose from.
This store brings you right back to your childhood with glass bottled sodas, homemade fudge, ice cream cones, and every kind of candy your heart can imagine! It reminds you of Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory with the wall to wall sugar!! Great place!!!!
