We noticed that our standalone, wood-burning stove was starting to make the house smell a bit smokey so we called the Chimney Sweep in Lancaster. They were able to come to Rosamond within a week, inspect and clean our stove and chimney. I was amazed to see how clean the stove was inside and they also completely dismantled the stove pipe to the roof and performed a very thorough cleaning all the way to the roof top vent cap. Get ready for a bait and switch. When you call dispatch, they tell you that a chimney cleaning will cost you about $120, then when they show up to actually clean they raise the price through the roof stating that the $120 is the starting price. They charged us $575 for a single story chimney in good condition, and then took the receipt with them when the left so we have no proof.
