We visited the Children’s Hospital Emergency in Winnipeg on July 27, 2025 for my 4.5-year-old niece after her baby tooth broke with a visible wound. We waited 6.5 hours, and when the doctor finally came, he didn’t even examine her properly — just said to see a dentist. No care, no first aid, no guidance. Extremely disappointing experience, especially in a children’s emergency. We expected much better.
Childrens emergency is brutal. No one checked in on my son in the 12 hours we were there. No one seems do be doing anything. It's been a nightmare
My review is solely for the security people asking the reason for patient coming after hours. You need some basic manners and empathy when talking to the patient/ patients parents. Can't believe children hospital has staff like this. Even the patients sitting their are better than you in terms of talking with people and helping them.
