It's an ok gym. Hard to find a bar that isn't bent. That's not a problem with the establishment, just the people that lift here. They need to learn to respect equipment that isn't their own. Literally 3 bars that aren't bent, and available for the gen pop to use.
Awsome gym awsome people 280 a year is a steal and Garret is an amazing trainer!
Literally any gym machine or muscle group focus, you can find here. Everyone was really nice. The music was extremely loud though. They allow you to take your dog, which I thought was super cool.
Go for the nostalgia and the museum of old iron. Don't go for clean bathrooms, multiple bathroom stalls, or well-kept equipment. I'm all for old iron, old machines, autographed pictures, and the strongman section was pretty neat to look at, too. But watching the young man mop the dusty concrete floor was like watching Sisyphus rolling the rock uphill. Messages were literally written in the dust covering several of the machines. Reupholstering is apparently illegal, too. Cool to visit, wouldn't go back.
The equipment here is NOT SAFE!! I’ve had gone on a visit to see family and friends in Fort Worth. I had gone on my visit up here last month and BOTH TIMES I’ve had equipment break on me. Last month I had farmers carry break on me while running. This month the yoke is broke in the middle which is why the yoke is awkward. Then some dumbass thought baby powder is the same as chalk (it’s not). Which is why I couldn’t even hold the frame. Then my father uses a bicep curl cable machine.
