Just want to update future travelers that Carson City Plaza Hotel old building has been bought by Best Western and undergoing renovation. Not a bad thing but downgraded a bit for rooms and main office.
Price was right for the quality for a single guy passing through on a holiday weekend. Suite has plenty of space, kitchen, and nothing out of place that bothered me. Would stay again if I come back this way.
I stayed in building 2 four nights and it was fairly nice and staff is friendly. However I decided to stay two more weeks under a weekly rate of $349 and had to move to building 3 and both rooms I stayed in had issues. One smelled musty and I checked the AC filters and they were terrible so I cleaned them myself since it was late at night. I even took a photo and requested a discount for the second week, which was denied. It fixed the smell though.
