I was really disappointed with our experience at The Carriage House. Unfortunately, the food was well below what we expected. The baked chicken was incredibly dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The stuffing portion was extremely small—about a tablespoon—and there was very little gravy to go with the meal although there was a bonus hair in that gravy. I was disappointed with the meal overall, as it did not meet our expectations in quality, value, and service making us hesitant to return. The chicken was overcooked and very dry, and the stuffing portion was extremely small—no more than an actual smear on the plate. It was also dry, literally breadcrumbs with raisins. WOW! what a hidden gem. We discovered this place while in Winston for medical procedures & wanted to eat somewhere we’ve never been before. Our meal was fantastic, he had the filet tenderloin bites in wine sauce & I had the chicken Monterrey. Both dishes were incredible. The staff were very pleasant & helpful. The restaurant was clean & inviting. We will def be back!!!
