Small museum with limited exhibits all about Edgartown and Whaling. It is not worth the $5 fee. Professionally curated but very limited content. The building is very nice on the inside.
No trip to Edgartown and Martha’s Vineyard is complete without a trip to the Carnegie Heritage Center. Great for kids and the whole family. Highly recommend the walking tour with Sissy. It’s fun, it’s interesting, and Sissy offers a wealth of knowledge and insight as well as the keys to historic buildings only accessible via the Vineyard Preservation Trust. Definitely carve out a quick little hour or two for a visit to the museum and walking tour, perfect way to start your day.
Small well curated museum in former library building. A short walk from Edgartown shops and restaurants. Sitting/reading room. Helpful staff. I especially liked the scrimshaw in one of the front rooms.
