Supporting local businesses is important to me. I am sad to report that I have had a very frustrating experience with Cargo bikes, and will not recommend it for repairs. My electric bike was there for two months. Initially the problem with it was misdiagnosed. About six weeks into the process a different diagnosis was offered, and a suggestion to order the broken part. Two weeks later, nothing has been ordered. Wonderful! I bought an e-bike online a few years ago as a commuting option. Recently a handful of spokes broke on the rear wheel. Machinery Row wouldn't touch it, got a little snobby about Chinese parts, etc. From the Cargo folks, it was just "Yep, we can do that." And they did! Rides great now. Seemed like a very reasonable price, too.
Bike rides like new again after replacing my hanger and derailleur, and the owner clearly cares about customer satisfaction. I'll be coming back.
